Description
PFERD offers a wide selection of coated abrasive tools for working on different workpiece geometries and materials. They consist of a base, a base bond and a coating bond for the abrasive grain to adhere to. Depending on the grit size, coated abrasive tools can achieve a high stock removal rate or a very fine surface finish. The available backing materials differ in properties such as tear strength, flexibility and wear. With the right base, the grinding tool is adapted to the requirements of the intended application: paper is used in the woodworking industry and in trade, e.g. among carpenters, painters and decorators, cloth is predominantly used for metalwork, and vulcanized fibre is highly wear-resistant and is used in various thicknesses predominantly for making fibre discs. The set contains self-adhesive discs suitable for a selection of different applications, designed for fine grinding in industry and professional trades. Self-adhesive discs are suited to grinding larger surfaces. The flexible system, comprising a self-adhesive disc and self-adhesive disc holder, can also be used on contours. The self-adhesive disc holder allows self-adhesive discs to be used with commercially available speed-adjustable or slow-running angle grinders with M14 mounting.
